El libro está escrito por un periodista soviético quién vivió varios anos en la República de Panamá, trabajando para la Agencia noticiosa de la Unión Soviética — TASS, En el libro el autor relata sobre la vida del país en los 70, describe su naturaleza, habla de la historia de la República istmeña y de unos problemas que enfrentan los panameños. Da cuenta tanto de sus visitas a las regiones que habitan los aborígenes del país — los indios de Panamá como de sus encuentros con varios personajes de distinta extracción social.
El libro está ilustrado con las fotos a color o blancas y negras, tomadas por el autor en sus viajes por la tierra entre los dos océanos.
ANNOTATION
The book is written by a soviet Journalist who lived several years in the Republic of Panama, working for the News Agency TASS.
The author gives the picture of this country in the 70s. He describes its landscapes, touches upon momentous points of the Republic’s history, refers to the problems confronting Panama.
The journalist speaks about his meetings with indians — aborigines of this land, with some interesting persons of different social position.
The book is illustrated with colour, black and white pictures taken by the author on his travels through the land between the two oceans.
